Camping, kayak rentals, swimming, fishing, wildlife viewing and mountain biking are all available at this private ranch on the gurglingly, gorgeous Nueces River. This is one of those sweet locations in the “River Region” of the Hill Country (Nueces, Frio and Sabinal Canyons) featuring spring-fed streams that are so clear you could come out here to work on your snorkeling technique. From Uvalde, take Hwy 55 west and go about 18 miles to 334. Turn left on 334 and then left on FM 407. Look for entrance to Cadillac Ranch. Pets on a leash are OK.
